My Story
According to references from the United States Parachute Association, about 1% of the population have made at least one skydive in their lifetime. I’m among that 1%!
I’d never really considered myself to be truly courageous until I recounted the many defining moments in my life during one of my first personal development workshops some 30 years ago.
Ironically, I had attended this workshop because I was tired of feeling angry and unworthy, as if I didn’t matter much, if at all. You see, it wasn’t that my acts of courage were any more or less courageous than others. It was in acknowledging that being courageous within myself challenged my feelings of unworthiness. That realization was a game changer.
In 2002, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, 29% of privately owned businesses were owned by women. I was among that 29%, having launched my first business in 2000 after having recently left a 15-year career in the fashion industry as a Vice President of Sales.
Surprisingly, that new business was a pioneering effort to become a consultant in what was then a largely unknown field, Feng Shui. At the time, the data didn’t exist indicating that it was a good business decision. Instead, I applied my keen business sense, creative skills, and belief in myself and I made it happen.
When the demands for my services became too great, I met the demand by founding the first Feng Shui school in New Jersey. We’d go on to help hundreds of other women and heart-centered men to also make the leap into entrepreneurship, transforming into courageous leaders themselves.
For over a decade, my consulting business continued as I worked with high-profile public officials, celebrities and business owners who were just as fascinated with the proven benefits of Feng Shui as I was. And because I believe that you can never truly lead another without first leading yourself, I have continued to evolve and grow, learning to courageously and successfully navigate through many of life’s challenges and difficult situations.
Today, I am very fortunate to have come full circle as I support pioneering men and women evolve into courageous leaders in their business and, most importantly, in their life.
