Do this to increase colleague retention
In your business and in your life, consider implementing an Ovation strategy and celebrate what’s right with the world!
In his book, Trust Factor, Paul Zak shares about the incredible success companies like the Container Store and Zappos experience while implementing an Ovation strategy.
He goes on to share that fifty-five percent of those surveyed agreed that ovation improves their job performance. Even companies having just one recognition program, have a lower turnover rate than no-ovation businesses.
By one estimate, a 5% increase in colleague retention increases profitability by 25 to 85 percent.
Ovation elevates oxytocin and other feel good hormones which causes the heart to open and interact with the prefrontal cortex, Executive Brain. When we play in this field, new thinking, possibilities and outcomes emerge.
What might be possible if this were an every day norm?
It is one of my greatest desires that more people commit to developing this incredible part of their brain to form a world from within ourselves that is loving and grateful.
And, from this place, lead!
One of the foundational teachings I learned from Judith E. Glaser, founder of Conversational Intelligence, was the discovery of the “I” within the WE.
For me this means discovering who we really are and then being courageous enough to join with one and other creating a force greater than ourselves in coherence and harmony.
Here is a 2 minute video that promises to elevate your gratitude and give you reason to celebrate.
And if you’d really like to be saturated with gratitude, please do yourself a favor and watch this TEDx talk by the National Geographic photographer who took the photos in the above video.
