I Dare YOU!

April 20, 2021
When was the last time someone dared you to do something? Or better yet, when was the last time you dared yourself?
Do you remembering taking or giving a dare when you were a child? Do you remember how that felt?
I love the experience of a dare! In fact, I haven’t stopped daring. Have you?
Daring for me is the perfect combination of excitement and fear and the fine line in between. For me, it’s a formula for a fun time! In fact, I prefer the word dare to the word challenge. It feels better to me. It packs more power for me.
Every year I dare myself on several levels and as I’m getting older, daring myself physically has become more important. My daughter is also now enrolled in this tradition.😀
Often these dares have been intentionally centered around a significant transition in my life and involves dealing with height. I see these dares as climbing new heights rather than allowing the transition to keep me stuck or held down. Daring empowers me!
This year it was aerial yoga. I loved it so much that I now go weekly. If I hadn’t dared, I’d never have known the joy of this experience and many other experiences I’ve committed to this year.
If you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, executive or a parent, you know all about daring. Daring is a daily experience.

One of the most transformational times of my life has been transitioning through midlife and now empty nest.

Ninety Percent of Our Thoughts Were the Same Thoughts As Yesterday-Curious?

March 27, 2021
Having the awareness that our obstacles are part of the growth process is a game changer in how we choose to experience the journey.
Developing awareness is a practice that requires the right tools. I’ve been having such a great time this last month sharing tools for awareness during my 12-Week Power Up for Sacred Success Series.
The feedback from the courageous group of women and men as they apply the 12 Power Principles from my Courageous Leadership Platform has been awesome!
We are working with power tools that are helping them to change old programming and therefore how they think and feel. How we think and feel is a vital component to what we create in the world.
You don’t attract what you want.
You attract what you are. ~Wayne Dyer
The Power Principle that was shared in week two was the Power of Correspondence; as within so without. Essentially, if you don’t like what’s showing up in your life, then consider changing  your thoughts and feelings to correspond with what you do want to show up.
We are the powerful creators of our experience. Many of us haven’t been taught the formula for creation so we end up creating more of what we don’t want and/or the quality of our journey to success isn’t what we were hoping for.
One of the tools shared during week two was centered around those times when we are vibing low on the emotional scale (see pic above): experiencing fear, anger, or insecurity for example, related to some interaction with someone or something else.

How to Use Your Obstacles to Power Up Success

March 17, 2021
Happy Almost Spring!
Think for a moment the power it must take for a flower to blossom. From a seed that breaks apart and roots itself into the ground, then pushing upward through the ground again, to unfold from a tiny bud to a beautiful blossom.
Then, we get to behold its magnificence with joy and delight.
There is no complaining or whining. It’s simply a stunning and beautiful unfolding of the growth process.
So why is it then when we as humans raise our hands to aspire in a bigger way, we’re surprised by this cycle of growth? Instead, we can often see these stages of growth as obstacles that are in our way.
We may get frustrated or overwhelmed by these obstacles as if we have no power to surmount them. It feels like they have power over us. When in fact, they are the very thing that can move us forward in experiencing our aspirations.
In raising our hand to aspire, we are asking to grow and become who we need to be to blossom. That requires changing who we are. When we remember that the very word aspiremeans to breathe life into, it can help to remind us to breath life into our growth rather than hold our breath, try to control it or worse yet, stop it.

How to Access Greater Possibilities

March 10, 2021
This month I also got to speak with the Montclair State, Feliciano Women in Business Group. My take away in sharing with this young group of up and coming Entrepreneurs is this:
When you maintain a beginner’s mind, you have greater access to your executive brain and therefore, incredible answers, insight and possibilities.
According to a Mindful Ambition article: A beginners state of mind is:
✨Free of preconceptions of how anything works
✨Free of expectations about what will happen
✨Filled with curiosity to understand things more deeply
✨Open to a world of possibilities, since you don’t yet know what is or isn’t possible
This beginner’s mindset, can greatly assist us during a growth cycle and beyond to think new thoughts and therefore, help to create our future.
